Day Two
Had Sushi for breakfast for the first time in our lives hahah at Tsukiji market. Did not bother to wake up for the tuna auction as I’ve seen a friend’s vid before (a loud man shouting jap continuously)
(every dish except the ebi :/)
As expected, the omakase meal was THE BEST SUSHI WE’VE EATEN EVER (dom)
Bought some ¥100 tamago recommended which was kinda nice for tamago but rather sweet like french toast lol.
Went to chase cherry blossoms for the second time at Meguro river. It was a really pretty sight to see the trees line up the canal!
Visited the hipster Shimokitazawa area. It was so free from tourists unlike Harajuku yesterday. Lotsa vintage shops and occasional cafes. Very quaint area to visit :>
Since we were in the area, we went to hunt down the cute donuts (which tasted like ham cheng beng) at Sasazuka. The sales staff was so passionate and looked so happy hahah. Made eye contact with a baby who was strapped to his mom’s back and he intently stared in our direction. Jap babies are super friendly and happy, I’ll never forget the baby who smiled back so widely immediately after I smiled at her when she was exiting the train on her mom’s back ❤️
On the way to the next place we saw this pompompurin anniversary advertisement which was very kawaii~
Made a trip back to Shinjuku to have a bird’s eye view of Tokyo~
Had dinner at Isetan’s food hall with Jappy foooood.
Messing around with funky hats at Don Quijote:
Cant wait to go out of town to Hakone tomorrow :)
